The Communications Office (COMM) is dedicated to promoting the image of the Academy as the leading institution in training performing arts practitioners and cultural leaders through the strategic delivery of our core activities.
Branding and marketing: devise publicity strategies and provide communication services for academic and administration units of the Academy. COMM manages and utilises communication tools to promote the Academy’s image. To showcase the uniqueness of the Academy, the annual Open Day is the event of strategic importance to communicate with the public at large.
Media relations and public affairs: COMM keeps the public updated on the Academy’s latest developments, as well as the achievements of staff and students by answering public enquiries and strengthening relations with media via press releases, media interviews and press briefing sessions
Publications: to achieve consistency in the artistic and editorial standards of our publications, COMM oversees the production of all official print publications including the monthly Academy News, Annual Report, Graduation and Honorary Award Ceremonies house programmes, and promotional items for some 12 major Academy productions every year.
Stakeholder communication: to ensure effective dialogue with internal and external stakeholders including industry professionals in Hong Kong and overseas, government departments, consular offices, non-government organisations, students, and the community, COMM coordinates meetings, social functions and visits when appropriate.
