A visiting Student Counsellor is
contracted to provide service to students on agreed days within the academic
year. Students in need of advice in personal development or specific problems are encouraged to approach the Student Counsellor. All counselling sessions are conducted in strict confidence.
From time to time training sessions are given by the Student Counsellor to students on self-awareness and social/study skills. Information and assistance on non-academic matters may be provided as necessary to non-local students in order to facilitate their adjustment to the new environment.

The Academy has on campus a registered nurse on a half-day basis who can provide medical attention and first aid service where necessary, as well as health education and dieting advice. In addition, a physician will visit campus four times a week to attend to students requiring medical treatment.
All new students are required to undergo a medical examination as part of the registration process. The medical report of this particular examination forms part of the student record for future reference on any necessary health services provided in the Academy or designated medical centres. The medical examination shall be taken at a medical center with a registered medical practitioner and the cost of the medical examination will be borne by the students.
All students who have completed the medical examination are eligible for the student health services provided by the Academy.
