A Cappella means singing without musical instrument. A Cappella can be a lot of fun and full of surprises. It may comprise, for example, wordless melodies and harmonies, not unlike the nonsensical syllables in the chorus of Lion King's "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", that goes "weee, we-um-um-a-way ... wee-ooh wim-o-weh".
In Part II, course participants will practise different contemporary repertoires and more challenging pieces to enhance their A Cappella skills. Instructors will introduce working approaches to A Cappella music arrangements. Unconventional vocal techniques will also be discussed. Those who have completed EXCEL's An A Cappella Workshop ¡V Part I or who have two or more years of instrumental or vocal experience are welcome to join.
