This workshop is designed for parents, kindergarten teachers and childcare service providers, such as therapists. The instructor will introduce fundamentals of early childhood music education approaches and the roles of early music experience in childhood development.
There are two sessions in the workshop:
Session 1: Through hands-on activities, participants will be introduced to skills and resources for providing developmentally appropriate training for young children during the most important phase of learning in their life. Participants will also be introduced to stimulating music activities that are developmentally appropriate and educationally grounded.
Session 2: Participants will be introduced to most current research findings in the fields of Neuroscience, Psychology and Music Education. They will be guided to understand how those implications could translate into crucial and practical meanings in fostering music learning and cognitive development in childhood.
