Timmy Tsang studied piano performance and piano accompaniment with Gabriel Kwok at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (solo performance) with First Class Honours and Professional Diploma (Opera Repetiteur/Accompanist) with Distinction. He has been the repetiteur for various operas such as Don Pasquale, Una Cosa Rara, Die Zauberflote, La Boheme, Aida, Die Fledermaus, Gianni Schicchi, Suor Angelica and l'Elisir d'Amore. He has conducted workshops on church piano accompaniment for the Baptist Theological Seminary and the Alliance Bible Seminary, and worked with visiting conductors and musicians, including Sir Neville Marriner, Lazlo Heltay, Georg Tintner, John Mattheson, Constantine Kitsopolous, Thomas Woods, Enza Ferrari, Malcolm Bilson and Geoffrey Pratley.
