The Human Resources (HR) Office provides a full range of operations and advisory services in human resources management including talent attraction, engagement and retention, remuneration planning and administration, performance management and succession planning, staff learning and development, and staff relations and well-being. As a result of a recent restructuring of the HR Office, opportunities now exist for qualified HR professionals with the passion in shaping HR strategies in support of the mission, vision, and strategic directions of the Academy. The major duties and responsibilities of the advertised role include but do not limit to:
(a) Provide HR business partner and operations services to Schools / Departments / Offices of the Academy for full spectrum of HR functions, including talent acquisition and retention, compensation and benefits, performance management and succession planning, learning and development, staff well-being and relations etc.;
(b) Participate in HR surveys, projects, reviews and other initiatives;
(c) Provide administrative and secretarial services to HR Office; and

Reporting to the Dean of the School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts and working under the supervision of the Senior Lecturer (Scenic Art). The main responsibilities are as follows:
(a) Maintain the safe, efficient and day-to-day operation of the Scenic Paint Shop, ensuring compliance with health, safety and workshop regulations.
(b) Manage the upkeep, organisation and maintenance of scenic art materials, tools, equipment, storage areas and workshop facilities.
(c) Monitor inventory levels, procure scenic materials and equipment, and maintain accurate records of stock, budgets and petty cash expenditure.
(d) Support teaching, student projects and Academy productions by facilitating access to workshop spaces, materials and technical resources.
(e) Provide practical guidance and supervision to students in the safe and effective use of scenic art facilities and production practices.
(f) Coordinate waste management, recycling initiatives, venue maintenance and liaison with internal departments, contractors and external event venues as required.
(g) Participate in Academy productions and events, including serving as Production Practice Supervisor for designated productions and undertaking other duties as assigned by supervisors.

(a) A relevant degree, diploma, and/or professional training / experience in Scenic Art or a related discipline;

Reporting to the Assistant Librarian II (Reference and Instruction Services), the postholder will assist in organising user education programmes, library events and is expected to be actively involved in digital marketing of the library through different channels, designing promotional materials and managing the social media promotion for the Library. Digital Learning Department enhances the technical and educational support for teaching and learning at the Academy. The Educational Designer will provide pedagogical support and advice for Digital Learning’s various e-learning and teaching initiatives. Duties include overseeing and contributing to the pedagogical developments of the department’s work such as supporting academic staff in the effective use of the Learning Management System (CANVAS), Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) tools, blended learning, immersive learning, provision of professional development activities and funded projects.

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts is seeking a reliable, well-organised, and detail-driven Development professional to support the Academy’s fundraising and institutional advancement operations. Reporting to the Enterprise Systems Architect, the Information Technology Manager (Network and Security) will lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the Academy’s network and security infrastructures, and will be responsible for designing, enforcing, and continuously improving network and cybersecurity policies, standards, and controls. The postholder will oversee the operation network and security technologies, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and intrusion prevention systems, and will conduct and coordinate penetration tests, vulnerability scans, risk assessments, and remediation activities. The role also involves monitoring network performance and security events, managing incident response, and leading investigations of security breaches, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory requirements, and Academy policies. In addition, the incumbent will manage IT security projects to ensure timely and quality delivery, stay abreast of emerging cyber threats and technologies, and proactively recommend improvements. The postholder will also perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
(a) Bachelor’s degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related disciplines.
(b) Normally, 10 years of relevant IT experience is preferred, of which 7 years are in network and/or information security.
(c) Lead end-to-end delivery of high impact network initiatives, ensuring timely execution and full alignment with business objectives.
(d) Define, maintain, and evolve the enterprise network architecture, integrating automation, security, and scalability to support current and future needs.
(e) Ensure all architectural decisions are aligned with IT governance frameworks, cybersecurity requirements, and established operational policies.

PART-TIME FRONT-OF-HOUSE USHERS

Appointees will report to the Senior Ushers and the Front-of-house Duty Managers. They will assist in front-of-house and venue management duties for performances and events hosted in the Academy venues. Appointment will be on a one-year basis. During the contract period, appointees are expected to work according to the working roster scheduled from time to time by the Manager of Venue Performance Unit.

(a) At least 5 subjects at Grade E/Level 2 or above in the HKCEE/HKDSEE, including English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language;

The Human Resources (HR) Office provides a full range of operations and advisory services in human resources management including talent attraction, engagement and retention, remuneration planning and administration, performance management and succession planning, staff learning and development, and staff relations and well-being. The major duties and responsibilities include but do not limit to:

(a) A recognised university degree, preferably in HR Management;
(b) At least 5 years relevant working experience;

Digital Learning and Library (DLL) enhances the technical and educational support for teaching and learning at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. It promotes interdisciplinary collaboration in education by leveraging AI, advanced tools, multimedia, and innovative pedagogy to enable technology-driven, outcome-based teaching and learning.
The Senior e-Learning Technologist plays a key role in implementing the Academy's digital learning strategy under the leadership of the Principal Head (Digital Learning & Information Management). The postholder will be a forward-thinking professional who works collaboratively with academic departments, Library and Registry to design, develop, and evaluate technology-enhanced learning initiatives.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing digital learning projects from conception to delivery; providing pedagogical and technical expertise to support blended and online course development; and leading the production of online learning projects such as Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) or Small Private Online Course (SPOC). A key responsibility of the role is to foster collaboration across Schools and departments to enable various innovative learning technologies, projects, and events, as well as technology-supported, interdisciplinary projects that enhance outcome-based education; and to work with the Academy Library and others to ensure synergy between digital resources and learning initiatives.
The postholder will organise and execute training workshops, seminars, and showcases to build digital capability; assist in programme evaluation, learning assessment, and data analytics to support evidence-based decision-making; and contribute to strategic planning and reports.
Requirements:
(a) A recognised master's degree or above in education or communication, preferably a higher degree in educational technology, instructional design or a related discipline;
(b) Normally at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in managing educational projects, teaching and learning, and the production of e-learning materials at the tertiary level;
(c) Solid experience in educational technology and a strong ability to advocate for digital learning tools and techniques;
(d) Familiar with a blended approach for staff learning and development which incorporates face-to-face training, e-learning, virtual, and one-to-one where appropriate. This will involve both formal and informal teaching and support;
(e) A successful track record of experience in developing learning solutions, including the development of user guides, online resources, multimedia content, video, and face-to-face teaching with staff, both individually and in groups;
(f) Demonstrated working knowledge of eLearning development tools and LMS management is desirable;
(g) Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
(h) Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement. A gratuity payment may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract.
