The Library Catalogue, Performing Arts Scholarly Search, Digital Performing Arts Repositoryand AudioMiner are the integral components of the Library Information System to provide access to a wide range of resources to support teaching and learning of the Academy.
The Academy Library was the first academic library in Hong Kong using a computerized library system to manage library materials. The library system including the online library catalogue currently used is the Millennium System developed by Innovative Interfaces Inc. This system is widely used by all local university libraries and thousands of academic libraries overseas.
The Millennium System is the heart of the Library’s information retrieval system, allowing users to search for physical materials held by the 3 libraries. It also provides direct links to electronic resources; e-books, e-journals, e-plays, e-scores, online videos and digital objects.
Performing Arts Scholarly Search (PASS) implemented in September 2012 is a one stop discovery platform for searching most of the subscribed e-resources and related open access resources. It is a search tool to link e-journal articles, e-books and more from a wide range of information providers in a single search.

It consists of twelve collections, namely Academy Production; Academy Publication; Chinese Opera; Ernest Read Orchestral Collection; Graduation Screening (School of Film and Television); Local Performing Arts Resources; Thesis Project; Department of Composition; Community Engagement Project; Academy 30th Anniversary; Slides and Inernational Festival of Dance Academies (IFDA).
