Student Recruitment and Community Engagement Office works closely with the six Schools of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in developing institutional wide student recruitment and marketing strategy.
The Office also plans and delivers educational outreach projects and community engagement activities in the performing arts.

The Boy’s & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong Visit to the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts
Jockey Club Cheung Hang Children & Youth Integrated Services Centre from The Boy’s & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong visited the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) on November 3, 2018. Academy staff introduced HKAPA to the members of the Association and provided guided tour to them. In order to provide more information on the background of the Academy and allow the participants to learn more the diversity of performing arts, various interactive drama games have been conducted during the visit.
The Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań Visit to Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts
A Poland delegation The Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań visited the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) on October 23, 2018.
The Office introduced HKAPA to the delegation and arranged a guided tour to them. Professor Nancy Yuen, Head of Vocal Studies, met with the delegation to enhance the academic exchange in vocal studies while Professor Clarence Mak, Associate Dean of the School of Music, and Professor Yiu Song Lam, Head of Woodwind, Brass and Percussion, gave a detailed introduction on teaching and learning of School of Music and conducted academic exchange with the delegation. The delegation had also visited the class and watched students’ practice. At the end, members of the delegation met with Professor Walter, Adrian, AM, Director of HKAPA, to have an in-depth discussion on the development of music education, student recruitment as well as student training.
Mainland Private Institutes Visit to the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts
A mainland delegation organized from Zhejiang University and Hong Kong Academy of Management visited the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) on October 16, 2018 to enhance academic exchange.
During the visit, the Office briefly introduces HKAPA to the delegation. In order to provide more information on student recruitment of Mainland China, staff from Academic Services Office illustrated the procedure and admission requirement. Professor Poon Wai Sum, Dean of the School of Drama, gave a detailed introduction on teaching and learning as well as student training of the School of Drama, and conducted academic exchanges with the delegation. A guided tour to Studio Theatre and various art workshops was arranged after the introductory session.
At the end, the members of the delegation presented souvenirs to representatives of HKAPA.
