It is our fourth and final week here. This week Ismael chose body mind centering sliding the matrix workshop for us and we would have rehearsals the rest of the afternoon. The workshop is mainly for ourselves to understand more about the fascia and how it relates to us while moving. Three key words of body-mind centering are attention, intention and action; to give attention to the body part and to give an intention behind it before the action.
Rehearsals with Ismael has been tiring yet rewarding as we are learning so much even just by looking and observing. Ismael really knows what he wants and he would not stop pushing you till he gets the result he wants. I feel that this is a great way for us as young artists to really challenge ourselves and get out of our comfort zones. He also talks a lot of different painters and sculptures and choreographers, by doing this he also broadens our knowledge on the world of art not just the performing arts, but also how all those can be an inspiration to us.
Before concluding ImPulsTanz, we had a showing from Biblioteca do Corpo, showing some material to the public.
There was also "Expressions" which happened at the end of the festival and it showcased the progress of the workshops.
We attended a short reception at the Weltmuseum to receive a certificate stating our participation in Biblioteca do Corpo.
Our last few days here at Vienna, we were able to have a few days off which allowed us to sightsee beautiful Vienna!

Next stop: BRAZIL, SÃO PAULO!!!
Background on Biblioteca do Corpo
The Biblioteca do Corpo® education project was developed by choreographer Ismael Ivo as a special method to coach and train young professionals individually and allow them to reach their personal level of excellence as dancers and artists. The project was launched in 2013 within the frame of ImPulsTanz - Vienna International Dance Festival and will take place in 2015 for the 3rd time.
