AUDIT ASSISTANTS
Under the supervision of the Internal Audit Manager and/or the Assistant Internal Audit Manager, the Audit Assistants report to the Head of Internal Audit and will be responsible for assisting in audit planning and conducting audit assignments on the Academy's financial and operational activities to assess the design and operating effectiveness of business processes and their underlying controls; and evaluate compliance with Academy’s policies and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements. The Audit Assistants are expected to prepare process flowcharts; conduct assessments on internal controls with the use of Computer Assisted Audit Techniques and/or data analytic tools; identify areas for improvements; and monitor progress of implementing internal audit recommendations.
Applicants should:
(a) Possess a degree from a recognised tertiary institution studying for a recognised professional accountancy/audit qualification;
(b) Be a member of relevant professional bodies, e.g., HKICPA, IIA and CPA Australia;
(c) Have good communication, problem solving and analytical skills;
(d) Be reliable and capable to work independently;
(e) Have experience of using data analytic tools (that would be advantageous, but not a must);
(f) Equip with good IT skills and be proficient in using Microsoft Excel functions;
(g) Have good understanding of the education sector and/or possess internal audit experience (which is preferrable); and
(h) Fresh graduates or final year university students are welcomed to apply.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointments will be on a two-year contract with the possibility of renewal. A gratuity payment equal up to 10% of basic salary earned during the contract period will be payable upon satisfactory completion of contract. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
