CAMPUS MANAGER (BUILDING SERVICES)
The postholder is responsible to the Head of Campus Development (the Head) and assist the Head to manage and oversee works projects of the Academy, including but not limited to daily repairs and maintenance works, capital projects, alterations and improvement works; to plan, organize and co-ordinate the operation, repairs and maintenance / replacement / upgrading of building services installations for all Academy’s premises; to liaise with internal and external parties on matters relating to the work of the Campus Development Office; to monitor and administer works and projects of the Campus Development Office, including but not limited to project documents preparation, project design, budget control, and testing and commissioning; and; to perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Campus Development or his/her delegates.
Applicants should:
(a) Have a recognised degree in Building Services / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering plus at least eight years of post-qualification experience, of which at least five years of relevant experience at supervisory level;
(b) Be a qualified Building Services / Mechanical / Electrical Engineer with proven experience in and knowledge of building services design, installation, maintenance, and/or project management including handover for building occupation, preparation of tender documents, testing and commissioning, assessment of payment certificates as well as funding applications for building services systems;
(c) Be a member of professional institution, such as Chartered Engineer and/or Full Member of HKIE / CIBSE / BSOMES / IET, etc., as well as with a good knowledge of relevant statutory regulations;
(d) Have good leadership, project management, presentation and interpersonal skills;
(e) Experience in energy management, building automation system, computerised maintenance system, BIM and Internet of Things for building services would be an advantage; and
(f) Have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be made on a two-year contract with possibility of renewal, subject to mutual agreement. A gratuity payment equals up to 15% of basic salary earned during the contract period will be payable upon satisfactory completion of contract. Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental benefits. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
