The School of Film and Television of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts invites applications from suitably qualified and motivated screen professionals, with higher education teaching experience, to coordinate and teach courses related to Creative Producing for the Screen at all year levels of the distinctive four-year BFA undergraduate degree programme.  The postholder will be responsible to the Dean of Film and Television, and the Head of Screen Creative Producing, and will also be required to act as the Creative Producer for student projects and be responsible, in collaboration with other faculty, for overseeing the efficient and effective management of student productions.

Applicants should possess:
(a)  A relevant MFA/BFA degree or professional training/experience to an equivalent level;
(b)  Significant professional experience in screen production;
(c)  Demonstrable credits as a producer of screen content;
(d)  Experience in logistical and financial management of screen content;
(e)  Demonstrable experience in marketing and distribution of screen content via various distribution channels, and/or;
(f)   Demonstrable credits and experience as a creative content designer and producer for the screen with cinema feature length content experience highly desirable;
(g)  Teaching experience at higher education level;
(h)  Current knowledge of, and an established good network with local and regional screen production and creative industries; and
(i)   Excellent communication skills.

Appointment will be on a two-year contract with the possibility of renewal, subject to mutual agreement. A gratuity payment equal to 15% of basic salary earned during the contract period will be payable upon satisfactory completion of contract.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits.  Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Commencement date will be in March 2021, subject to negotiation.
