The postholder is responsible for assisting the Institutional Research Analyst in research related duties. Major tasks include desk research, data collection, data input, data processing, statistical analysis, production of tables, infographics and documents, office administrative support and other duties as assigned by the supervisors.

Required Qualifications:
(a) A degree, preferably in statistics, data science, psychology, education, or social science related disciplines.
(b) Proficiency in MS Office suite, statistical analytical tools (e.g., SPSS, R), and data visualisation tools (e.g., MS Power BI).
(c) Work experience in research support or in higher education institutions will be an advantage.
(d) Good writing skills in English and Chinese.
(e) Good communications, interpersonal and organisational skills.

Those with lower qualification or less experience may be considered for appointment at Assistant Level.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a 2-year contract, renewal is subject to operational needs.  A gratuity payment equal up to 10% of basic salary earned during the contract period will be payable upon satisfactory completion of contract.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical and dental benefits.  Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
