The MFA in Drama offers an opportunity for independent advanced-level study based on professional practice underpinned by the methodology of practice-as-research. Learning in depth in the major disciplines of Directing, Playwriting, Drama and Theatre Education, Dramaturgy is complemented by taught courses to broaden knowledge in contemporary theatre, drama education, applied theatre, writing for performance, dramaturgy, the performing arts, and their cultural contexts. MFA in Drama majors are encouraged to work with each other across the disciplines as well as to explore interdisciplinary collaboration across the Academy's other master's programmes.
