The Performing Arts: Practice, Education and Research Journal (PA:PER) is the first peer-reviewed publication  and academic journal for the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. It serves to promote the culture of Practice as Research through its local impact and global reach, contributing to the strategical development of performing arts and technical arts practices and education in Hong Kong, the Asia Pacific and Beyond. PA:PER provides a platform for scholars, practitioner-researchers, and teaching artists who engage in Practice-as-Research (PaR) as an overarching methodology in articulating innovative performance practices/ research and contributing to the advancement of approaches to the performing art education. The first issue was launched in 2022. The second issue is published in 2023. As an open access journal it is a bilingual publication, publishing papers in both English and Chinese and is released both in print and in electronic version.
