Niu Sixuan, of the Yi ethnic group, is the head of the Art Practice Department at the Dance School of Yunnan Arts University, a faculty member in the Choreography Department, and a recipient of the National Arts Fund's Young Creative Talent award. 

He was the choreographer for the gala performance celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and the large-scale music and dance epic commemorating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. 

His representative works include《額爾古納河》,《牛鈴》,《守護》, have earned her the China Dance Lotus Award for Ethnic and Folk Dance, nominations awards and the title of Outstanding Instructor at the 14th Taoli Cup.
