Symphonic Reunion: A Time with Alumni & Academy Symphony Orchestra

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a spectacular symphonic concert, bringing together alumni from around the globe and current members of the Academy Symphony Orchestra. The audience will witness the versatile musician, Lio Kuok-man, seamlessly transitioning between piano and conducting, showcasing his extraordinary artistry.
The concert will open with John Williams' inspiring The Olympic Spirit, followed by Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major, featuring Lio Kuok-man as both soloist and conductor. The grand finale will be Bernstein's vibrant and dynamic Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, bringing the evening to a thrilling close.

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts is proud to present a night of exceptional performances to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Titled 40 Years of Brilliance: Inheriting the Artistic Legacy, this event will showcase the talents of students from six of the Academy's distinguished Schools including Chinese Opera, Dance, Drama, Film & Television, Music and Theatre & Entertainment Arts. Audiences can look forward to an evening filled with captivating performances that highlight the artistic excellence and innovation nurtured at the Academy over the past four decades.
This programme is one of the events of The 4th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Culture and Arts Festival.
