Biography
John Chan is a Production Manager at the HKAPA and has over 30 years of technical and production experience in Theatre and Entertainment Arts.
He started his career as a theatre technician at Hong Kong Arts Centre. Progressing to the HKAPA, he rose to the position of Chief Stage Technician, then Assistant Production Manager under the Production Office, and since 2017, Production Manager.
John continues to collaborate closely with world-renowned theatre and entertainment companies and artists. These opportunities acquaint him with the production management styles of various parties, the needs of various art forms, and the latest trends of show business. Locally, he maintains strong connections with the industry and with the Academy’s graduates.
