Biography

Chan Wing Kit is Lecturer (Sound) and has more than 20 years of experience in the sound design, consulting and audio education.

Recent sound design works include War of Tung Choi Guys, Falsettoland, Never Ending Hong Kong (Premiere and Re-run) by Windmill Grass Theatre, the restaging of Kearen Pang’s 29+1, as well as Zuni Icosahedron’s techlab series.

Kit also served as technical coordinator for the live performances of many world-class musicians, including Esperanzer Spalding, Roberto Fonseca, Buena Vista Social Club, Pink Martini, and others.

Kit earned a Advanced Diploma in Theatre Technical Arts from the HKAPA. She was two-time nominee for Best Sound Design at the Hong Kong Drama Awards.

Aside from her involvement in design and production as well as research on sound therapy, she aspires to revitalize theatre production training, realising her vision of passing along key knowledge by sharing her experiences with young designers.

Kit also deepened her knowledge of sound in the field of therapy and actively practices the use of sound and vibration as a healing tool. Through deep listening and discovery of the inner self, she believes one can both make better art and improve their quality of life.
