Ms LEE Sharon

Biography

Ms. Sharon Lee is a Lecturer in the General Education Department at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

She holds an MA in Applied Linguistics with specialisation in English as a Second Language from De La Salle University, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Psychology. She also holds a Postgraduate Degree in Education major in English from The University of Hong Kong and TESOL certification from Trinity College London. 

Ms. Lee has over 10 years of experience in tertiary education and has been actively involved in the design and delivery of language courses. In addition to teaching, she has taken on leadership roles, coordinating and supporting teachers responsible for courses under her supervision. Her teaching experience spans several institutions, including The Education University of Hong Kong, The University of Sunderland in Hong Kong, and The Hong Kong University School of Professional and Continuing Education (HKU SPACE). 

Her teaching practice is informed by strong professional interest in innovative pedagogical approaches, particularly the integration of up-to-date digital tools to support effective language learning. She currently explores a human-centered, AI-augmented approach to language education through ongoing reflective practice and professional development. By combining emerging technologies with emphatic pedagogy, she aims to create learning environments where AI tools provides immediate formative feedback, allowing valuable classroom time to be dedicated to meaningful human interaction, critical thinking, and authentic cultural engagement. 

Ms. Lee has consistently received highly positive teaching evaluations from both students and academic supervisors, reflecting her commitment to excellence in teaching and student learning.
