TEA Recruitment Day

TEA Recruitment Day

On 17th (Thursday) and 18th (Friday) July 2025, the School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts will hold a Recruitment Day.  Open interviews will be conducted, and successful candidates will be offered places in the Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in Theatre and Entertainment Arts or the Certificate in Theatre and Entertainment Arts (Fast Track Vocational). The application fee will be waived.

 

Period of Time: 10am – 1pm
Venue: Classroom 2, 1/F, HKAPA

 

Admission will be based on personal interviews, portfolio review and fulfilment of the general admission requirements.

Required documents
All applicants should bring along ORIGINAL documents to show HKDSE / HKCEE / HKAL scores and a portfolio of their work.  


General Admission Requirements

 

Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) in Theatre and Entertainment Arts
Completion of senior secondary schooling with Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) examination:

  1. Level 3 or above in English Language and Chinese Language; and
  2. Level 2 or above in the Mathematics subject; and
  3. "Attained" result in the Citizenship and Social Development subject; and
  4. Level 2 or above in at least one other subject ("Attained" result in one Applied Learning subject is considered as fulfilling one HKDSE subject requirement)

Certificate in Theatre and Entertainment Arts (Fast Track Vocational)

Applicants should have completed secondary school education and also show a genuine passion, interest and desire to work in theatre, the entertainment arts, preferably in one of the specialist areas offered.  Acceptance is based on an interview and review of portfolio work where applicable.

Career Prospects

Recent graduate employment statistics indicate that the vast majority of graduates were employed soon after graduation, working freelance or permanently in the main areas of theatre, live events, theme and adventure parks, film, television, broadcasting and music recording. Our alumni also work in many fields related to the entertainment industry, including theatre consultancy, concert sound and lighting, event production and management, graphic design, architectural lighting, fashion design, window display, project engineering and many entertainment supporting industries.
