Biography
Yuin Shan graduated from University of Rochester with a double degree in History and Film Studies. He also received MA degree in Cinema Studies from NYU Tisch School of Arts.
Yuin Shan has been working in Hong Kong film industry since 1999. He oversaw the development, production and promotion of over 20 feature films, including ELECTION 1 & 2 by director Johnnie To, and EYE IN THE SKY by director Yau Nai Hoi. In recent years Yuin Shan focuses on film producing by collaborating with new generation of local filmmakers. His credits include MOTORWAY directed by Soi Cheang and SISTERHOOD directed by Tracy Choi. The latter film received two awards at International Film Festival & Awards – Macau and two nominations at Hong Kong Film Awards in 2017.
Yuin Shan is Senior Lecturer (Film Production) and Program Coordinator of MFA of Cinema Production program at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He currently serves as Hong Kong Arts Development Council Film Category Examiner.
