
Biography
Mr Fung Ka Ming is a Senior Lecturer in Film History, Theory and Screen Studies in the School of Film and Television at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
Mr Fung obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Arts from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. His teaching and research include film history, film criticism and film theory.
Mr Fung has more than 30 years of experience in film criticism. His articles have appeared in a wide range of magazines, newspapers, film archive or film festival publications. Since 2007, he has contributed a weekly, in-depth film review column for Ming Pao, in which he critiques films from different periods and countries. Over the years, the newspaper has also published numerous interviews he conducted with filmmakers from all over the world. He has served as a juror or voter for several film awards, including Golden Horse Awards and Hong Kong Film Awards.
