Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra Academy Symphony Orchestra Side-By-Side Concert
Presented by the School of Music at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. This special Side-by-Side Concert brings together the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and the Academy Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of the internationally acclaimed Maestro Ankush Kumar Bahl.
This concert is more than a performance—it is a unique celebration of mentorship and collaboration. Aspiring musicians from the Academy will perform alongside seasoned professionals from the HK Phil, creating a transformative exchange of artistry and learning.
The evening's programme features:
《龍騰虎躍》 (Prancing Dragons and Jumping Tigers) – a thrilling performance by graduate percussionist Lo Hok-chun and Chinese percussion ensembleSchumann’s Cello Concerto in A minor, Op. 129 – featuring current cello student, Cheung Hei-manDvořák’s Symphony No. 9, in E minor, Op. 95 ("From the New World") – a powerful and emotional masterpiece that bridges cultures and traditions
This programme is suitable for audience aged 6 or above.
