Project A is a special programme developed by the Young Friends of the Academy (YF). We welcome YF members to enroll in our different activities and dive into an exciting world of performing arts.

Since first launching in 2022, we are pleased to report 100% participant satisfaction !

This summer, we are not only bringing back our highly popular art jamming party and workshops, but also seasoned artists and practitioners to conduct masterclasses!

The Party will be held at our world-class Scenic Workshop where YF members will be able to apply their creative juices on canvas and chit-chat with our students and alumni to learn more about performing arts and the Academy.

We will hold our popular scriptwriting and music composition workshops again this year and introduce two new ones for those interested in becoming YouTube KOLs and making theatre costumes.

We will have masterclasses on 6 different topics:

• Exploration of Chinese Opera performance by Janet Wong, Music Arranger for Xiqu Centre Tea House Rising Stars Troup, West Kowloon Cultural District 
• Contemporary Dance Choreography by Dominic Wong, Associate Artistic Director, City Contemporary Dance Company 
• Actor's Clinic with Judy Chu, award-winning Stage Actor and Director of Sunshine of My Life
• Filmmaking with Jessey Tsang, famous Film Director of Chroma 11 and The Lady Improper
• Concert Practice under the baton of Dr Grace Yu, Associate Professor (Academic Studies in Music) and Postgraduate Programme Leader (Music) 
• Experiment on Art Installation with stage, lighting and sound with Moon Yip, Scenographer and acclaimed Multimedia Artist
