The Position

The Academy is now looking for a seasoned and detail-minded executive who will support the senior management in formulation and implementation of various human resources (HR) policies, including performance appraisal, succession plan, staff development, etc. The postholder will keep abreast of changes of HR related legislation and review and update the HR policies and guidelines in a timely manner. S/He will also assist in handling staff complaints, disciplinary matters, etc.

 

The Candidate

He/She should possess:

- A recognised Bachelor’s degree, preferably of a related discipline; 

- At least 8 years of human resources management experience and exposure in rendering executive support to senior management of tertiary institutions, Government or other sizeable organisations; 

- Demonstrable experience in formulating HR policies, strategic reviews, and implementation of administrative procedures; 

- Excellent interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills;

- The ability to provide high level advice in relation to Human Resources management and general administrative issues; and 

- High level of spoken and written proficiency in English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua).

 

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT

Appointment will be on a two-year contract.  Renewal of contract is subject to work performance and operational needs of the Academy.  A gratuity payment equals up to 15% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period.  The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Academy’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits.  Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Non-accountable Cash Allowance may be provided to the eligible appointee as entitled.
