The Administration Executive is a senior executive position within the Director’s Office. The postholder will provide high-level administrative support to the Director and senior Academy staff for major strategic initiatives. He/She will serve as the personal assistant to the Director and assist with liaison work involving senior academic and administrative staff, students, external organisations, government authorities, and VIPs. The postholder should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, exercise sound independent judgment, and demonstrate strong abilities in managing key strategic projects. Additionally, the postholder will be required to draft complex documents, minutes, and reports for the Director.
Applicants should have:
(a) A recognised university degree;
(b) At least seven years of experience in a high-level administrative role;
(c) Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
(d) Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
(e) Proficiency in computer applications; and
(f) Extensive work experience in tertiary institutions or public organisations.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement. The postholder is required to provide front line IT support to the School of Theatre and Entertainment Art (TEA) at both Wanchai and Bethanie campuses. He/she will oversee the computer laboratory and provide technical support to the School of TEA. He/she will be responsible for managing and monitoring IT equipment, workstations, and network facilities. Additionally, the postholder will assist students in using IT resources and setting up equipment for teaching activities, performances, and events.
Applicants should have:
(a) A Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related discipline.

(c) At least 1 years’ hands-on experience in IP Network Infrastructure, including practical knowledge of routers and switches.

(e) Good interpersonal and communication skill. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

As part of the Academy’s senior management team, the Dean will undertake a broad range of duties at both Academy and School levels. The Dean of Dance will be a highly experienced dance practitioner and educator who will bring high level discipline-based expertise to the Academy, ensuring that the School maintains its position as a leader in dance education within the higher education sector.
The Dean is expected to lead the development of the School's overall vision and academic direction during a time of significant and exciting change within the Academy and the higher education sector in Hong Kong. The postholder will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues in delivering the Academy’s Strategic Plan 2024-2033.
Although it is subject to negotiation, the anticipated commencement date is January 2026.
Key requirements:
The successful candidate should be a well-established performing arts practitioner with significant experience in his/her respective discipline. He/she should also possess the following:
(a) Strong academic and professional background in dance, preferably with experience of performing arts research.
(b) Strong track record of teaching, scholarly achievement, and curriculum development.
(c) A successful track record of leadership within an educational institution or similar performing arts based organisation, including evidence of innovative approaches to programme management and development.
(d) Solid knowledge of current global trends and developments in performing arts education, as well as a strong vision for the School and understanding of the Academy’s role and future growth in the region.
(e) High-level interpersonal and communication skills.
(f) Evidence of successful outcomes in building productive partnerships with key stakeholders, including tertiary institutions, industry, and community groups.

The postholder will be responsible to the Dean of the School of Film and Television. He/She will lead the major study in screenwriting and creative development. The postholder will design and deliver classes or modules and supervise screen production exercises and activities for students at all levels in the BFA (and MFA, where appropriate) programs. He/She will also be required to act as project supervisor for third year projects and/or graduation projects, as necessary. As a full-time faculty member, the postholder is expected to demonstrate additional teaching experience or substantial leadership in at least one additional area for Lecturer post or two additional areas for Head post, such as: Inter-disciplinary project development, Creative project development, Professional development and/or Curriculum/Pedagogical development.

(a) possess an advanced academic qualification and/or a relevant MA/MFA degree in film or other relevant discipline;

This postholder also line manages a range of academic and non-academic posts within the school, specifically the Lecturer (Cinematography and Immersive Videography), Lecturer (Sound-Film/TV), Lecturer (Digital Screen Design-Film/TV), Lecturer(Film/TV), Technician/Instructor(Film/TV).
The postholder will liaise with other academics in the school to ensure efficient and effective management and facilitation of all aspects of student production practice and teaching and learning. The Head of Composition will be a distinguished performing arts practitioner and/or composer-performer, dedicated to shaping the future of the Composition Department within the School of Music. Building on the department’s existing strengths, the Head will work collaboratively with other senior staff to drive forward innovative developments in performing arts education. This includes fostering advancements in electronic music production, music for applied media, and cross-disciplinary collaborations, ensuring the School remains at the forefront of creative and educational excellence.
Reporting to the Dean of the School of Music, the appointee is expected to oversee the Composition Department and be responsible for teaching, academic leadership and quality assurance in Composition teaching across all levels and programmes. The appointee is expected to lead curriculum design, course review and development in the Composition Department, undertake academic advising and supervision of Undergraduate and Postgraduate research projects, and strengthen the School’s international networks and collaborative projects.
Applicants should have:
(a) A recognised degree in Music or equivalent qualification (preferably a doctoral degree in Composition studies or relevant disciplines).
(b) A strong professional background and extensive professional experience as a composer and an educator.
(c) In-depth knowledge of current music composition trends, pedagogical approaches, and performance practices in composition, including writing for applied media, inter-disciplinary ensembles, the recording studio, etc.

In keeping with its conservatoire status, the School’s philosophy is centred on performance and reflects the unique cultural mix of Hong Kong, with emphasis on both Western and Chinese traditions. The School comprises the Departments of Strings, Keyboard, Voice, Woodwind/Brass/Percussion (‘WBP’), Composition, Chinese Music, Conducting and Cultural Leadership, Academic Studies and Junior Music.
The Head of Strings will be a significant performing arts practitioner and/or a performer, who will build on existing strengths and lead the future development of the Strings Department in the School of Music. Building on the department's existing strengths, the Head will work collaboratively with other senior staff to drive forward innovative developments in performing arts education. This includes fostering advancements in solo performance, chamber music, orchestra, early music, contemporary ensembles, and cross-disciplinary collaborations, ensuring the School remains at the forefront of creative and educational excellence.
Reporting to the Dean of the School of Music, the appointee is expected to oversee the Strings Department and be responsible for teaching, academic leadership and quality assurance in strings teaching across all levels and programmes. The appointee is expected to lead curriculum design, course review and development in the Strings Department, undertake academic advising and supervision of Pre-College (i.e., Junior Music), Undergraduate, and Postgraduate research projects, and strengthen the School’s international networks and collaborative projects.
Applicants should have:
(a) A recognised degree in Music or equivalent qualification (preferably a doctoral degree in strings performance or relevant disciplines).
(b) A strong professional background and extensive professional experience as a performer and an educator.
(c) In-depth knowledge of current strings area trends, pedagogical approaches, and performance practices, including solo performance, chamber music, orchestra, early music, contemporary ensembles and cross-disciplinary collaborations.
(d) Internationally recognised standing and good industry network.
(e) An excellent teaching record in conservatoire/university contexts across undergraduate, postgraduate, and pre-college music programmes.
(f) A successful track record of leadership and ability within an educational institution or similar performing arts-based organisation, including evidence in curriculum design, implementation and programme development according to established quality assurance frameworks.
(g) Solid experience in managing teams and collaborative work in the cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary context.
(h) The ability to advise and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
(i) Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
(j) A good command of both written and spoken English. Fluency in Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese) is an advantage.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement. A gratuity payment equals up to 15% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Academy’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
