The Human Resources (HR) Office provides a full range of operations and advisory services in human resources management including talent attraction, engagement and retention, remuneration planning and administration, performance management and succession planning, staff learning and development, and staff relations and well-being. As a result of a recent restructuring of the HR Office, opportunities now exist for qualified HR professionals with the passion in shaping HR strategies in support of the mission, vision, and strategic directions of the Academy. The major duties and responsibilities of the advertised role include but do not limit to:
(a) Provide HR business partner and operations services to Schools / Departments / Offices of the Academy for full spectrum of HR functions, including talent acquisition and retention, compensation and benefits, performance management and succession planning, learning and development, staff well-being and relations etc.;
(b) Participate in HR surveys, projects, reviews and other initiatives;
(c) Provide administrative and secretarial services to HR Office; and
(d) Perform other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have:
(a) A recognised university degree, preferably in HR Management with some relevant working experience;
(b) Proactive, self-motivated, attentive to details and able to perform multiple tasks independently and in a timely manner;
(c) Proficient in computer applications including MS Word, Excel (including basic formulas, VLOOKUP, etc.), PowerPoint and Chinese word processing;
(d) Good communication and interpersonal skills, along with good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage);

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, with funding support from the Swire Group, launched the Greater Bay Area Youth Orchestra (GBAYO) in July 2022, bringing together the region’s most outstanding young musicians to foster artistic excellence and cultural exchange across the Greater Bay Area.
The Assistant Project Manager reports to the Project Manager, GBAYO. The postholder will provide administrative and operational support for all GBAYO activities and relevant activities of School of Music. Key responsibilities includes, but are not limited to, maintaining the proposed budget; marketing and publicity; recruitment and audition; concert and tour preparations and production. Occasional regional travel may be required.
Qualifications:
(a) A university degree with normally at least 3 years of relevant experience in music or performing arts organisations;
(b) Solid knowledge of and hands-on experience in event and tour planning, as well as rehearsal and concert operations;
(c) Experience in social media content creation and website management;
(d) Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders;
(e) Excellent time management and multitasking abilities, with a proven capacity to manage competing priorities;
(f) Good computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Forms;
(g) Skills in visual design, audio editing, and video editing would be an advantage; and
(h) Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Putonghua.

Reporting to the Dean of the School of Drama, the postholder will provide artistic and academic leadership for the BFA and MFA Acting programmes within the School of Drama. The postholder is responsible for supporting the Head of Choreography in the development and enhancement of the Choreography Major, with a strong emphasis on Dance & Technology, including curriculum design and delivery in areas such as Technology for Dance Composition, Multimedia & Dance, Screendance, Visual Design for Choreography, and Contemporary Art & Performance, from sub-degree to postgraduate levels. The appointee will teach and supervise courses that integrate digital tools, multimedia environments, and emerging technologies into choreographic practice, mentor and assess students’ creative and research projects, and contribute to the creation and presentation of technologically integrated productions and interdisciplinary performance works. The postholder is also responsible for providing administrative support to the management / School of Dance in the planning, scheduling and execution of programme work and activities, staff development and assessment, and the evaluation and ongoing enhancement of the Dance & Technology components of the choreography programme.
Applicants should have:
• Advanced-level academic qualifications in dance, dance and technology, digital performance, or related disciplines (preferably with a postgraduate qualification); and normally a minimum of four years’ experience in teaching dance and technology/multimedia performance courses, including teaching at Undergraduate and Master’s level.
• Proven experience in administrative/management of dance and technology, multimedia performance, screendance or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated expertise in dance and technology, supported by a strong portfolio of creative and/or research work in digital, interactive or interdisciplinary performance.
• Solid understanding of contemporary dance creation practices and current developments in choreography, particularly in relation to multimedia, digital platforms, interactive systems and emerging technologies. Active engagement with innovative technological applications in dance will be an advantage.
• Proven ability to be a team player and leader within a programme. Strong commitment to the scholarship of learning and teaching, as well as practice-based and technology-informed research.
• Proven experience of integrating theory and practice within curriculum content and employing innovative teaching practices, including e-learning and digital pedagogy.

Prospective language faculty should be professionally qualified as teachers. For some areas of study, current professional practitioners are preferred whilst for others, university-level teaching experience would be necessary. PART-TIME FRONT-OF-HOUSE USHERS

Appointees will report to the Senior Ushers and the Front-of-house Duty Managers. They will assist in front-of-house and venue management duties for performances and events hosted in the Academy venues. Appointment will be on a one-year basis. During the contract period, appointees are expected to work according to the working roster scheduled from time to time by the Manager of Venue Performance Unit.

The Human Resources (HR) Office provides a full range of operations and advisory services in human resources management including talent attraction, engagement and retention, remuneration planning and administration, performance management and succession planning, staff learning and development, and staff relations and well-being. An opportunity now exists for qualified HR professionals interested in making contributions in support of the mission, vision, and strategic directions of the Academy through a part-time engagement. The major duties and responsibilities include but do not limit to:
(a) Manage talent acquisition requests and find the best talent solutions for the Academy;
(b) Provide HR business partnership services to Schools / Departments / Offices of the Academy and ensure quality and timely delivery of various HR matters throughout the employee life cycle;
(c) Organise and deliver HR events and communications; and
(d) Participate in other HR projects, reviews and initiatives, and other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have:
(a) A recognised university degree, preferably in HR Management;
(b) At least 5 years relevant working experience;
(c) Well-versed in employment-related ordinances and regulations; demonstrable experience in HR leadership;
(d) Proactive, self-motivated and meticulous with good analytical, planning and organising and problem-solving skills; and
(f) Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage).

The Academy is establishing a Special Project Team under the Director’s Office to support the strategic implementation of the Academy’s 2024–2033 Strategic Plan. The team will oversee the Academy’s signature projects, provide centralised project support across the institution, and drive key cross-Academy initiatives. We are now seeking a dedicated Project Assistant to assist the Project Team in advancing the Academy’s long-term strategic priorities.
Reporting to the Director’s Office and the Project Manager of the Project Team, this role will primarily be responsible for supporting two key institutional initiatives: the Academy-wide Sustainability Project and strategic planning for the future innovation hub. The Project Assistant will be supporting event logistics, stakeholder and supplier coordination, and assisting in the preparation of publicity materials and digital content. Duties also include handling general office administration, maintaining project records and archives.

(a) A bachelor’s degree from a tertiary institution;
(b) Proficiency in common office software; experience in accounting and procurement administration will be an advantage; and

The Student Affairs Office aims to enhance students’ learning experience and wellbeing through a comprehensive range of services supporting their academic, personal, social, and professional development. The Office delivers key functions including careers service, counselling service, health service, student financial assistance, student accommodation, and collaborates closely with Schools to support mentoring, guidance, orientation, and induction.
The Student Affairs Assistant will provide administrative and operational support across various Student Affairs functions, initially in career development and training programmes, health services, student surveys, and event coordination, as well as performing any other duties as assigned by the supervisors.
