The Registry, in close collaboration with Schools, academic departments and administrative units, facilitates the development and implementation of academic regulations and institutional policies. It delivers key academic services spanning the full study cycle, from admission through to graduation. As the executive arm for quality assurance and enhancement, the Registry supports programme approval, monitoring and review processes, internal and external accreditation exercises, and administration of student surveys. It also provides secretarial support to academic governance bodies, including the Academic Board and its institutional-level committees.
The Administrative Assistant (Registry) will provide secretarial support to the Registrar & Principal Head (Student Experience), and offer administrative and executive support across various Registry functions, including the academic quality assurance activities, boards and committees, student surveys, admissions, event coordination, e-filing project, and general office administration, as well as perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisors.
Applicants should possess:
(a) A recognised Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification;
(b) Normally, at least one year of relevant working experience, preferably in higher educational institution;
(c) Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), with excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
(d) Sound numerical sense and high level of computer literacy;
(e) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail; and

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts is seeking a reliable, well-organised, and detail-driven Development professional to support the Academy’s fundraising and institutional advancement operations. Working under the Development Office, the postholder will provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to fundraising programmes, scholarships, and donor and alumni engagement initiatives that underpin the Academy’s long-term sustainability, with the following key responsibilities:
(a) To assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of development initiatives, including events, campaigns, and engagement activities;
(b) To assist in the administration of scholarship and donation programmes, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with established procedures;
(c) To process, record, verify, and analyse donation data, and to handle incoming donations accurately and efficiently;
(d) To maintain, update, and enhance relevant databases, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting;
(e) To prepare routine reports, summaries, and documentation required for internal monitoring and donor records;
(f) To liaise with internal units and external parties on administrative and logistical matters related to development activities; and
(f) To undertake other clerical, coordination, and office support duties as assigned by supervisors.
Applicants should have:
(a) A degree from a tertiary or post-secondary institution, preferably in marketing, business, arts management, or related disciplines, with proven work experience in related fields;
(b) For the post of Assistant Manager (Development and Alumni Affairs):
• Normally at least 3 years’ working experience (minimum 2 years in tertiary education). Proven track record in development support, operations, or event management.
Experience in fundraising and sponsorship would be an advantage;
For the post of Executive (Development and Alumni Affairs):
• Normally at least 1-2 years’ working experience in development or fundraising support, administrative operations, event administration, or office management.

The Academy is establishing a Special Project Team under the Director’s Office to support the strategic implementation of the Academy’s 2024–2033 Strategic Plan. The team will oversee the Academy’s signature projects, provide centralised project support across the institution, and drive key cross-Academy initiatives. We are now seeking a dedicated Assistant Project Manager to assist the Project Team in advancing the Academy’s long-term strategic priorities.
Reporting to the Director’s Office and the Project Manager of the Project Team, this role will primarily be responsible for coordinating and executing two key institutional initiatives: the Academy-wide Sustainability Project and strategic planning for the future innovation hub. The Assistant Project Manager will also provide support to several signature projects within the Academy, assisting the Project Manager to collaborate closely with the Schools and other departments to ensure effective planning, coordination, delivery, and reporting. Other duties include developing communication channels and promotional materials, supporting project due diligence and monitoring, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective project delivery.

(a) A bachelor’s degree from a tertiary institution;
(b) Normally at least 3 years’ experience in arts project or event management;
(c) Strong communication skills with good command of spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua; and

Digital Learning and Library (DLL) enhances the technical and educational support for teaching and learning at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. It promotes interdisciplinary collaboration in education by leveraging AI, advanced tools, multimedia, and innovative pedagogy to enable technology-driven, outcome-based teaching and learning.
The Digital Media Officer is responsible for maintaining the daily operation of DLL and supporting media services (Digital/Traditional) provided by DLL for the Academy.
Requirements:

The School of Dance offers full-time programmes from sub-degree Diploma to MFA level, and a new doctoral degree (expected 2027), together with its part-time Gifted Young Dancer Programme. The Head of Ballet reports to the Dean of the School of Dance. This position entails providing pedagogic, creative and artistic leadership across all levels and courses in Ballet offered by the School. Responsibilities include curriculum development for the Ballet programmes and the selection and development of repertoire for public performances and tours. Additionally, the Head will provide administrative support to the Dean in matters of scheduling, course evaluation, assessment, student mentoring, committee work, staff development, and planning.
The Head of Ballet is required to teach Ballet specialisation related courses such as Ballet Technique and at least one of the following areas: Dance Pedagogy or Ballet Pedagogy, Pointe Work, Male Technique, Ballet Repertory, Partnering, Creative Work, Dance History or Ballet History. The successful candidate will serve on the School’s Management Committee and lead the Ballet department. The Head will be expected to play a strategic role in the further development of Ballet within the School, aligning with the Academy’s new strategic plan and School priorities, particularly concerning research in practice-based programmes.
The Head will also be committed to fostering strong connections with professional dance community at local, regional and international levels, engaging in professional development, and staying current with trends in professional dance training and scholarship. Additional duties may be assigned by the Dean from time to time.
Applicants should have:
(a) Advanced-level academic qualifications in dance studies (preferably with a postgraduate qualification); and normally a minimum of eight years' experience in teaching in Ballet specialisation, including teaching at University and Master’s level;
(b) Substantial academic leadership and administrative/management experience in a Ballet specialisation or equivalent;
(c) Proven ability to be a team player and leader within a programme;
(d) Demonstrated commitment to the scholarship of learning and teaching, as well as practice-based research;

The School of Music at the Academy offers comprehensive full-time programmes, including Diploma, BMus, MMus, and a new doctoral degree (expected 2027), alongside its highly successful Junior Music Programme – comparable to the ‘Junior Schools’ of other world-leading conservatoires. The Head of Vocal Studies will be a significant performing arts practitioner and/or a singer/performer, who will build on existing strengths and lead the future development of the Vocal Studies Department in the School of Music. Building on the department's existing strengths, the Head will work collaboratively with other senior staff to drive forward innovative developments in performing arts education. This includes fostering advancements in solo performance, chamber music, choir, opera, early music, contemporary ensembles, musical theatre, and cross-disciplinary collaborations, ensuring the School remains at the forefront of creative and educational excellence.
Reporting to the Dean of the School of Music, the appointee is expected to oversee the Vocal Studies Department and be responsible for teaching, academic leadership and quality assurance in vocal teaching across all levels and programmes. The appointee is expected to lead curriculum design, course review and development in the Vocal Studies Department, undertake academic advising and supervision of Undergraduate and Postgraduate research projects, and strengthen the School’s international networks and collaborative projects.

The School of Dance offers full-time programmes from sub-degree Diploma to MFA level, and a new doctoral degree (expected 2027), together with its part-time Gifted Young Dancer Programme. The postholder is responsible for supporting the Head of Choreography in the development and enhancement of the Choreography Major, with a strong emphasis on Dance & Technology, including curriculum design and delivery in areas such as Technology for Dance Composition, Multimedia & Dance, Screendance, Visual Design for Choreography, and Contemporary Art & Performance, from sub-degree to postgraduate levels. The appointee will teach and supervise courses that integrate digital tools, multimedia environments, and emerging technologies into choreographic practice, mentor and assess students’ creative and research projects, and contribute to the creation and presentation of technologically integrated productions and interdisciplinary performance works. The postholder is also responsible for providing administrative support to the management / School of Dance in the planning, scheduling and execution of programme work and activities, staff development and assessment, and the evaluation and ongoing enhancement of the Dance & Technology components of the choreography programme.
Applicants should have:
• Advanced-level academic qualifications in dance, dance and technology, digital performance, or related disciplines (preferably with a postgraduate qualification); and normally a minimum of four years’ experience in teaching dance and technology/multimedia performance courses, including teaching at Undergraduate and Master’s level.
• Proven experience in administrative/management of dance and technology, multimedia performance, screendance or equivalent. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated expertise in dance and technology, supported by a strong portfolio of creative and/or research work in digital, interactive or interdisciplinary performance.
• Solid understanding of contemporary dance creation practices and current developments in choreography, particularly in relation to multimedia, digital platforms, interactive systems and emerging technologies. Active engagement with innovative technological applications in dance will be an advantage.
• Proven ability to be a team player and leader within a programme. Strong commitment to the scholarship of learning and teaching, as well as practice-based and technology-informed research.
• Proven experience of integrating theory and practice within curriculum content and employing innovative teaching practices, including e-learning and digital pedagogy.
• Experience in curriculum design and teaching in a multi-cultural context.
• A good command of both written and spoken English. Fluency in Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese) is an advantage.

Appointees will report to the Senior Ushers and the Front-of-house Duty Managers. They will assist in front-of-house and venue management duties for performances and events hosted in the Academy venues. Appointment will be on a one-year basis. During the contract period, appointees are expected to work according to the working roster scheduled from time to time by the Manager of Venue Performance Unit.
