In Memory of Dr Chung King-fai
The Academy is deeply saddened by the passing of Dr Chung King-fai (鍾景輝博士), fondly known as King Sir, founding Dean of the School of Drama and Honorary Doctor of the Academy, on 3 June 2026.
A towering figure in Hong Kong’s arts and cultural sector, King Sir excelled as a stage actor and director, education, television producer, performer, and programme host. His lifelong dedication to the performing arts has left an enduring legacy.

Celebrating Our HKJC Compassionate Leader Scholarship Awardees
Congratulations to three outstanding Academy students — See Ka Leong (Year 2, School of Dance), Veronika Loginova (Year 2, School of Film & Television) and Yeung Wincy Eunis (Year 2, School of Music), who have been awarded The Hong Kong Jockey Club Compassionate Leader Scholarship for the 2024/25 academic year.

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts Hosts Shaw Studios Scholarship Presentation Ceremony
The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA) received a generous donation from Shaw Studios to establish Shaw Studios Scholarships in the 2024/25 academic year. The Scholarship aims to provide recognition and encouragement to outstanding Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree students of the School of Film and Television.
