The Position
The Academy is now looking for a high calibre executive who will support the senior management in formulating and implementing the Academy’s strategic initiatives. He/She will oversee various offices and give steer on areas related to campus development, facility management, venue operations, etc. and ensure that they are delivered effectively, efficiently and in full compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks. The appointee will assist the Academy to establish operational priorities and to drive related projects forward. He/She may represent the Academy to attend meetings, including various Legislative Council panels and District Council meetings, on matters relating to campus development.

 

The Candidate 
He/She should possess:

- A strong administrative background and an extensive track record of involvement in a wide range of operational areas, preferably in the public sector.

- Substantial experience in managing strategy studies, development works projects, facility management and operations in sizeable organisations, preferably in a tertiary institution or a government department.

- Conversant with government procedures, particularly on procurement, tendering and funding submissions.

- Demonstrable high-level of management and organisational skills.

- Ability to draft complex documents such as funding submissions, project reports and Council papers.

- High level of spoken and written proficiency in English and Chinese languages.

 

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year contract. Renewal of contract is subject to performance and operational needs of the Academy.  A gratuity payment equals up to 15% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Academy’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits.  Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Non-accountable Cash Allowance will be provided to the eligible appointee.
