The Position

The Academy is now looking for a high calibre executive who will assist in overseeing all Human Resources (HR) functions and rendering secretariat support to the Academy Council. The postholder will play a key and proactive role in ensuring the quality delivery of full spectrum of HR services, including driving the development, implementation and review of HR and administrative policies and initiatives. S/He will also provide high standard of executive support to the Academy Council.  

 

The Candidate 
He/She should possess: 
- A strong administrative background and an extensive track record of Human Resources Management experience in sizeable organisastions preferably in tertiary institutions or public organisations;
- Demonstrable experience in planning and implementing various initiatives ;
- Substantial experience in developing and implementing HR policies and administrative procedures;
- Conversant with HR related legislation, as well as the related government regulations;
- Demonstrable high-level of management and organisational skills as well as interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; and
- High level of spoken and written proficiency in English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua).

 

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT 
Appointment will be on a two-year contract.  Renewal of contract is subject to work performance and operational needs of the Academy.  A gratuity payment equals up to 15% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period.  The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Academy’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.  Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits.  Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Non-accountable Cash Allowance may be provided to the eligible appointee as entitled.
