Exciting Updates for 2023 Project A Summer Programme
Project A is a special programme of the Young Friends of the Academy (YF). We welcome YF members to enroll in our different activities and dive into the exciting world of performing arts. This summer, we are not only bringing back our highly popular Art Jamming Party and workshops, but also seasoned artists and professional practitioners to conduct Masterclasses!
Our Masterclass Series offers a great opportunity for students who have basic knowledge and experience in performing arts to polish their skills and develop their knowledge. With overwhelming responses, we are pleased to inform you that there will be an additional session of Masterclass for Dance on 22 Jul.
Furthermore, we are excited to announce that there will be a Finale Film Screening event on 26 Aug to wrap up our Summer Programme. Jack Ng and Cheuk-tin Ho, who are the directors of box-office hits 毒舌大狀 and 正義迴廊 respectively, will bring their HKAPA graduation works for film screening at the Academy and speak on their experience in developing a career in the film industry.
Learn More About Art Tech and Performing Arts at Mingpao Education Expo
We are joining the Mingpao Education Expo this summer again at Booth #59.
Also, we have invited Allen Fung, Head of Media Design & Technology of the School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts, to introduce the application of art tech in performing arts. His talk will be held on 15 July (3:15pm - 3:35pm) on the Main Stage.
Mr Fung specialises in stage lighting design, lighting system design, lighting programming and video system and show control system design. He also does audio-visual system design and programming for theme parks, corporate projects and entertainment events. Having worked with major theatre groups, dance troupes and touring companies in Hong Kong and overseas, he worked on a number of cross-disciplinary projects, exploring the boundaries between media and performing arts recently.
If you or your students are interested in knowing more about the application of art tech in performing arts, the career prospects in performing arts and our programmes, please mark the event on your calendar and pay us a visit!
