Apply via the Scheme
The application for the Scheme deadline each year is the same as our application deadline for students. For information and updates on the deadlines each year, please click here for details of important dates.
New arrangement for 2027/28 application submission:
The Main Round runs from 7 September to 8 December 2026. This is also the deadline for Principal’s Recommendation Scheme (PRS) for local secondary schools.
The Clearing Round will start from 9 December 2026. Consideration of applications submitted during Clearing Round is subject to the availability of places.

* If applicants submit their applications after the Main Round deadline, there is no guaranteed that they will be given an audition or interview.
Step 1 - Secondary schools upload their Recommendation Letters
Register your secondary school in the Scheme through the Academy's system. Registration is to be done by the school principal or his/her delegate. There is only one registration account for each secondary school.
Please upload the Principal's recommendation statement directly onto the system. There is no need to pass the confidential statement to the student concerned.
Download the "Recommendation Form" as guided in the system. The school principal or his/her delegate should only indicate which School the student will be recommended to apply for. The completed form will be converted into a pdf file with a Recommendation Code via the registered email for printing. Please sign and stamp the pdf form with an official school chop and pass it to the student concerned for uploading to The Academy's online application system.
Step 2 - Students apply online for our undergraduate programmes
Students should follow the normal procedure to apply via the online application system. The link to the online application system is available on the Registry webpage.
Choose “Yes” for “Apply via Principal’s Recommendation Scheme”. Then upload the Recommendation Form which will be provided by your schools and input the Recommendation Code which is on the Form. Also, students should clearly indicate the particular major(s) offered by the School he/she recommended to apply for.
