Thinking with Our Hands (and LEGO®): The Future of Higher Education Learning, Brick by Brick

The future of higher education requires us to look beyond conventional brainstorming. Designed for both academic faculty and administrative staff, this highly interactive, 60-minute session utilises LEGO®️ SERIOUS PLAY®️ materials and methodology to tackle complex workplace challenges. We will move beyond traditional discussion to demonstrate how metaphorical, hands-on building can unlock collective intelligence, expose operational bottlenecks, and help us physically model innovative solutions for both classroom design and institutional workflows.

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

  • Translate abstract workplace challenges or pedagogical theories into physical, 3D metaphorical models
  • Deconstruct current systemic barriers preventing deep student engagement or smooth administrative workflows
  • Collaborate across academic and administrative peers to bridge operational gaps
  • Practice active listening techniques by interpreting colleagues' physical models without judgment or interruption.
  • Leverage purposeful play as a legitimate, high-level tool for professional reflection and stress reduction.

Step away from the screen, grab a coffee, and join us in a relaxed space to build, share, and problem-solve together.
