Andreyev’s skillful use of symbolism and allegory compels the audience to confront the ephemerality of the human life, thereby exploring the meaning of life and death, an important subject in Russian Expressionist theatre.
This performance is adapted from Russian playwright Leonid Andreyev’s The Life of Man, including the original text and parts devised by actors.
