To encourage secondary school students who have distinguished achievement in performing arts to apply for the Undergraduate and Post-secondary programmes of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Principal’s Recommendation Scheme of the Academy was launched last year. Principals of local, ESF and private international schools in Hong Kong were invited to recommend talented students of their schools to pursue study in Chinese Opera, Dance, Drama, Film and Television, Music, or Theatre and Entertainment Arts in the Academy.

The Scheme received good response for 2020/21 admission. The students recommended had enjoyed the ex gratia arrangements including waiver of application fee and guaranteed interview of the major that they had selected.

Application for admission to the Academy’s Undergraduate and Post-secondary programmes will generally start in Fall term every year.  Arrangement of the Scheme for 2021/22 admission will be announced in due course. Take this opportunity to help the gifted student to shine!
