The postholder will assist the Campus Development Office to ensure all Facilities Management functions and Building Improvement, Repair and Maintenance-related infrastructure/equipment/works are properly maintained, efficient and safe as well as complying with the statutory requirements; to supervise the daily building maintenance and facilities services operation and works projects such as repair and maintenance, capital works project ,etc.; to perform contract management and administrative duties including but not limited to preparation of technical drawings and tender documents, monitoring contractors’ performances and work progress, liaison with stakeholders etc.; to support the implementation of the Academy’s campus development initiatives. The postholder will also be required to attend emergency duties and hence, may be required to work on holidays and at irregular hours.

 

Applicants should:
(a) Possess a recognised degree in Surveying / Building Studies / Engineering / Facilities Management, or equivalent;
(b) Have a minimum of 4 years’ of relevant work experience in repair and maintenance, capital works project, refurbishment / renovation, and AA&I of various building works;
(c) Be conversant with relevant statutory requirements, local code and regulations;
(d) Possess multiple-skills and knowledges in Building Repair and Maintenance and Facilities Management;
(e) Have high level of computer literacy, including AutoCAD. Knowledge and experience in BIM software will be an advantage; and 
(f) Be able to communicate effectively in both English and Chinese, with good presentation skills.

 

Applicants having relevant experience in government or public bodies will be an advantage.


TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement.  A gratuity payment equals up to 15% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period.  The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Academy’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.   Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits.  Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
