The postholder reports to the Head of Student Affairs and will perform general administrative duties in the day-to-day operation of the Student Affairs Office. He/She will support the full-time staff in administering student finance, scholarships, student accommodation and off-campus housing, and other duties assigned by the Head of Student Affairs.
The appointee will work on weekday mornings or afternoons for a maximum of 16 hours per week and occasionally on Saturday mornings.
Applicants should have:
(a) A degree from a tertiary institution, or equivalent;
(b) At least two years of administrative experience; preferably at a tertiary educational institution or a sub-vented organization;
(c) Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua;
(d) Good command of MS Office tools, particularly EXCEL and word-processing;
(e) Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with students; and
(f) A customer service orientation to assist and support students' needs.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be for 11-months. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
