The School of Dance of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts  organizes a Community Dance Project (the ‘Project’) from January 2022 for 3 years.  The Project is funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and aims to include people with Parkinson’s Disease through dance in the artistic and social life of Hong Kong.   The project includes four core components: Train-the-Trainers Programme, Community Dance Workshops, Teaching Resource Development and Impact Studies.  

 

The Project Manager (Dance) will be responsible for day-to-day project management and supervision, collaboration and liaison with partners and artists, programme reporting, accounting and fund disbursement to project partners. The Project Manager (Dance) will also be responsible for the design and planning of training programmes and community workshops.

 

Applicants should have:
(a) A bachelor’s degree from a tertiary institution;
(b) Normally, at least 5 years of experience in dance learning and engagement programme development, community engagement and/or social innovation;
(c) Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua;
(d) Good organizational ability, strong interpersonal and communication skills; and
(e) Strong financial and accounting skill is preferred.


TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a short-term basis from now to end of August 2025 with the possibility of renewal, subject to mutual agreement, up to three years. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
