The 35th Anniversary Academy Festival Presents: TEA Graduate Exhibition 2019

The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA)’s School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts (TEA) will be presenting the annual TEA Graduate Exhibition from 21 June to 1 July 2019. The exhibition not only serves as a platform to showcase the graduating class’ creativity and professional work, but also invites performing arts lovers to learn more about stage production. As one of the programmes of the 35th Anniversary Academy Festival, the exhibition offers free admission to members of the public. 

 

TEA Graduate Exhibition 2019 will feature work of around 40 graduating Bachelor Degree students from the “Media Design & Technology”, “Technical Production & Management”, and “Theatre Design” departments. The exhibits include students’ work from different specialisations, namely, Lighting Design, Lighting Technology, Sound Design, Sound System Design, Music Production, Stage and Event Management, Technical Direction, Set Construction, Set and Costume Design, Costume Technology, Property Making, and Scenic Art. Work created by students as the production teams of Academy Chinese opera, dance, drama and music performances will also be included in the exhibition. 

 

Student-led guided tours are available in Cantonese and English. Advance online registration is required.

About the 35th Anniversary Academy Festival 
The 35th Anniversary Academy Festival features a series of performances and activities, including musical, opera, dance, drama, Cantonese opera, concerts, film screenings and exhibitions. Due to enthusiastic response from a broad spectrum of the Hong Kong community in its first two years, the annual Festival continues to offer the public a rich variety of performing arts experiences this year, showcasing the students’ talent and vitality. It also celebrates the effort of the graduating classes from the six Schools at the Academy — Chinese Opera, Dance, Drama, Film and Television, Music, and Theatre and Entertainment Arts.
