HKAPA Presents the School of Dance Summer Performances

The School of Dance of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, in collaboration with the School of Theatre and Entertainment Arts, will present the School of Dance Summer Performance on 1 and 2 May at the Academy Lyric Theatre. This annual dance showcase will feature a collection of the Academy’s most distinctive choreographic works, encompassing ballet, Chinese dance, and contemporary dance, and showcasing the talent and stage presence of a new generation of dancers from the School of Dance.
Acting Dean and Head of Ballet of School of Dance Prof Ou Lu, expressed his eager anticipation of the performances, “The School of Dance Summer Performances brings together three distinctive works: Tracing the Moon, Blueprint, and Liminal Border. We are honoured to have invited Mr Leung Kwok-shing, the esteemed former Artistic Director of the Hong Kong Dance Company, Honorary Fellow of HKAPA, Netherlands-based choreographer Wubkje Kuindersma, and Artist-in-Residence Francisco Córdova to create new works respectively for our Chinese Dance, Ballet, and Contemporary Dance students. Seventy‑two talented students from the School of Dance will dedicate themselves to these performances, showcasing extraordinary artistry.”
