A full-house of applause for “What the Buddha Said”40th Anniversary Musical Preview
To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, the preview of the musical What the Buddha Said, was staged at the Academy's Lyric theatre on 6 May to engage the local communities.

Radio Interview of the 40th Anniversary Musical
With the support of School of Dance alumnus, DJ Barry Ip, a radio interview series featuring the creative team of the 40A Musical, What the Buddha Said, and lecturers of the School of Drama had been conducted. The interviews introduced the musical development in Hong Kong and highlighted the Major in Acting for Musical Theatre, a unique musical training programme offered by the Academy.

cineDESK: the Future of Filmmaking Education
The Academy was invited to join the 29th Hong Kong International Film and TV Market (FILMART) and presented cineDESK, which is a newly developed AI-integrated tool co-created by HKAPA, Zurich University of Arts, and The FilmEU European Universities Alliance for Film and Media Arts, at the AI Hub.

"What the Buddha Said" 40th Anniversary Musical Preview
Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of HKAPA, the musical “What the Buddha Said”, invites secondary schools and Young Friends of the Academy to watch the preview. Inspired by a Chinese classic “Journey to the West”, it features art tech and live accompaniment to provide a unique experience that provokes reflection on the true meaning of the journey to obtaining scriptures.
