Shanghai Commercial Bank proudly presents: Tuesdays with Morrie
"Morrie, I promise I will come to see you. " Sixteen years passed in a blink of an eye, and Professor Morrie is long forgotten. Mitch leads a seemingly successful life, but inside he feels a sense of emptiness. Mitch saw Morrie on TV one night and learned about his fatal illness. He gathered the courage to reach out to his former professor again. For the last 14 Tuesdays of his life, Professor Morrie taught a class on the meaning of life.
Written by Mitch Albom, the book follows the conversations between Morrie and Mitch as they explore the meaning of life and grapple with the inevitability of death. In honour of the timeless lessons of Tuesdays with Morrie, a new production of the play is set to debut in 2023. The play will be directed by Dominic Cheung, a veteran Theatre practitioner who will also be performing the role of Professor Morrie. The character of Mitch will be played by Alex Fong, a well-known actor and singer from Hong Kong.
The pandemic has been ongoing for three years, leaving many isolated and despondent. The emotional void it has created is challenging to overcome. However, Tuesdays with Morrie could be the remedy we need to heal. Take advantage of this chance to experience the profound wisdom and insights of Tuesdays with Morrie.
