The postholder will be responsible to the Supplies Manager. He/She is required to carry out duties relating to the purchasing and supply activities in the Supplies Office which shall include but not limited to the followings: -
(a) To conduct the quotation exercises for procurement of goods and /or services.
(b) To handle inventory record maintenance and fixed assets management.
(c) To carry out clerical duties and any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Applicants should:
(a) Have a Higher Diploma or Degree in Purchasing and Supply Management or other related discipline;
(b) Have at least one year work experience in a sizeable organization / education institutions is preferred;
(c) Preferably have experience in preparing RFQ/tender documents and in operating inventory control or fixed asset management system;
(d) Have proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
(e) Have willing to learn and take initiative;
(f) Have good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
(g) Be attentive to details and able to work under pressure to meet the deadline.
Fresh graduate with high enthusiasm in related discipline would also be considered.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement. A gratuity payment equals up to 10% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Academy’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
