The postholder will be responsible to the Supplies Manager. He/She is required to carry out duties relating to the purchasing and supply activities in the Supplies Office.

 

Applicants should have:
(a) A Higher Diploma or Degree in Purchasing and Supply Management or other related discipline;
(b) 2-3 years work experience in a sizeable organization / education institutions is preferred;
(c) Experience in preparing RFQ/tender documents, assisting users in compiling RFQ/ tender assessment and award of contracts in compliance with the related policies and guidelines;
(d) Preferably have experience in operating inventory control or fixed asset management system;
(e) Performed other duties as may be assigned;
(f) Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
(g) Be detailed oriented and able to work under pressure to meet the deadline;
(h) Good interpersonal and communication skill; 
(i) Willing to learn and take initiative;
(j) Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
(k) Be attentive to details and able to work under pressure to meet the deadline.

 

Applicants with less working experience or fresh graduate in related discipline would also be considered.

 

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year contract.  Renewal of contract is subject to work performance and operational needs of the Academy.  A gratuity payment equals up to 10% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract period.  The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Academy’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits.  Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
