Reporting to the Assistant Librarian II (Reference and Instruction Services), the postholder will assist in organising user education programmes, library events and is expected to be actively involved in digital marketing of the library through different channels, designing promotional materials and managing the social media promotion for the Library. The postholder will also provide circulation and information services at the Film and Television Library at the Bethanie campus and should be prepared to serve regular shift duties in both libraries at Bethanie and Wanchai campuses, and may be required to work in the evenings, at weekends and on public holidays.

Applicants should have: 
(a) A recognised bachelor’s degree; 
(b) Normally at least 3 years of working experience, preferably in an academic library;
(c) Experience in working with an integrated library system, preferably Alma and Primo; 
(d) Good knowledge in design and video editing tools, such as Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere;
(e) Good multitasking skills, flexibility at work and ability to proactively identify areas for improvement with minimal supervision; 
(f) Ability to independently execute creative library user engagement campaigns from initial ideas to final implementation;
(g) Strong communication, coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills; and
(h) Good command of oral and written English and Chinese.

Preference will be given to those who possess any of the following:
(a) A proven portfolio of web/graphic design work (please specify the websites and product natures in the application letter or resume).
(b) Experience in conducting user education programmes or workshops.
(c) Experience in organising library events or activities.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement.  A gratuity payment up to 10% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period, may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Academy’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
