The Human Resources (HR) Office provides a full range of operations and advisory services in human resources management including talent attraction, engagement and retention, remuneration planning and administration, performance management and succession planning, staff learning and development, and staff relations and well-being. As a result of a recent restructuring of the HR Office, opportunities now exist for qualified HR professionals at different levels with the passion in shaping HR strategies in support of the mission, vision, and strategic directions of the Academy. The major duties and responsibilities of the advertised roles include but do not limit to:
(a) Provide HR business partnership to Schools / Departments / Offices of the Academy and ensure quality and timely delivery of various HR matters throughout the employee life cycle;
(b) Formulate, review, implement and administer HR policies, procedures, guidelines, systems, and workflows; and
(c) Conduct other HR projects, reviews and initiatives, and other duties as assigned.
Applicants should have:
(a) A recognised university degree, preferably in HR Management;
(b) At least 5 years and 3 years of relevant working experience for Human Resources Manager and Assistant Executive Officer respectively; some work experience preferred for Assistant (Human Resources);
(c) Well-versed in employment-related ordinances and regulations; demonstrable experience in HR leadership;
(d) Experience in policy formulation and implementation in tertiary institutions, the public sector or statutory bodies will be an advantage;
(e) Proactive, self-motivated and meticulous with good analytical, planning and organising and problem-solving skills; and
(f) Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage).
The Academy will decide on the level of positions appropriate for individual applicants based on their profile.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement. A gratuity payment may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
