The Information Technology Officer (Infrastructure) will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the Academy’s IT infrastructure, including campus network, network devices, servers and database.  The postholder shall be capable of monitoring centrally administered systems and networks and responding immediately to security or usability concerns. The postholder will manage the hardware and software inventory and relevant system upgrade and acquisition.

 

Requirements:
(a) A  bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related disciplines;
(b) Normally at least 5 years’ IT work experience in a sizeable company and at least 3 years’ experience in system administration;
(c) Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in configuring and administering the following:
•    Switches/routers, cabling, IT closets, firewalls, IPS, load balancer, wireless APs and controller, email appliance, and antivirus solution;
•    Microsoft Windows Servers, ADFS, Active Directory, SCCM, Microsoft Intune, Veeam, SAN and Linux Server;
•    Microsoft Azure AD, M365;
•    Virtualisation technology and network security technology;
(d) Experience in carrying out production jobs, data backup/recovery and other scheduled tasks;
(e) Previous experience in developing server-side automation scripts is an advantage;
(f) Strong analytical, independent, excellent problem-solving skills and able to work under pressure;
(g) Customer-orientated with good interpersonal and communication skills;
(h) Willing to learn and take initiative; and
(i) Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

 

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement.  A gratuity payment up to 10% of the total basic salary earned during the contract period, may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Academy’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, equals 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
