The School of Music of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts is looking for an Assistant Executive Officer to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support for the effective management and delivery of the Junior Music Programme.
Applicants should:
(a) Have a recognised degree, preferably in arts administration, education, music, business administration, or a related discipline.
(b) Normally, have at least 4 years of relevant administrative and operational experience, preferably in an educational, arts, or performing arts environment.
(c) Possess strong organisational, coordination, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
(d) Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, faculty members, and internal and external stakeholders.
(e) Have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
(f) Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Access, Word and Excel, and possess strong administrative and record-management skills.
(g) Have experience in event coordination, programme administration, scheduling, or student services, preferably within a music, education, or performing arts setting.
(h) Be self-motivated, responsible, flexible, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
(i) Be willing to work on Saturdays and support concerts, auditions, performances, and other programme-related activities as required.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement. A gratuity payment may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
