The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts is seeking a highly creative, detail-driven Designer to support the Academy’s brand identity and marketing initiatives. Working within the Branding and Marketing Office, the postholder will play a key role in conceptualising and designing high-quality visual assets, collaterals and ensuring brand consistency, with the following major responsibilities:

(a) Translate existing brand strategy and institutional narratives into high-quality design outputs across digital and print media.
(b) Conceptualise and pitch creative ideas for integrated marketing campaigns and institutional initiatives.
(c) Design and edit engaging static, video, and motion graphics assets for social media, corporate collateral, and institutional campaigns.
(d) Produce web banners, digital assets, and user-centric visual layouts for website updates following established UI/UX guidelines.
(e) Deliver comprehensive design support for Academy events, including key visuals, collaterals, on site and digital assets, etc. 
(f) Apply and maintain institutional brand guidelines consistently across all daily design deliverables and digital/print communications, while keeping content fresh and relevant.
(g) Manage relationships and coordinate production workflows with external agencies, printers, and production vendors.
(h) Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Applicants should have:
(a) A Higher Diploma or above from a tertiary institution, preferably in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia, Digital Media, Advertising or related disciplines.
(b) Normally, preferably at least 3 years’ relevant working experience in graphic design, branding, and digital asset creation, and multimedia editing, with a strong design sense and proven problem-solving skills. Experience in creative agencies, or large corporate marketing environments would be an advantage.
(c) Advanced hands-on proficiency in design software, e.g. Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and After Effects), and familiarity with generative AI design tools to enhance daily creative workflows.
(d) Strong portfolio and solid knowledge demonstrating high visual standards across print, digital, video, and social media touchpoints, with a high level of accuracy, responsibility, and attention to detail.
(e) Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
(f) Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement.  A gratuity payment may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
