The School of Dance of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts organises a Community Dance Project (the ‘Project’) from September 2025 for 3 years. The Project is funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and aims to include people with Parkinson’s Disease through dance in the artistic and social life of Hong Kong. The project includes four core components: Train-the-Trainers Programme, Community Dance Workshops, Teaching Resource Development and Impact Studies.
The Assistant Project Manager (Dance) will work closely with the Senior Project Manager (Dance) for the execution of the Project.
Applicants should have:
(a) A bachelor’s degree from a tertiary institution;
(b) Normally, at least 3 years of experience in dance learning and engagement programme development, community engagement and/or social innovation;
(c) Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua; and
(d) Good organisational ability, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a one-year contract with the possibility of renewal, subject to mutual agreement, up to three years. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
