Reporting to the Enterprise Systems Architect, the Project Officer (Administration) will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to IT projects and daily IT services. The postholder will assist in system administration tasks, including server monitoring, user account management, and routine maintenance. The role also involves supporting IT asset inventory, tracking, and lifecycle management, as well as preparing and maintaining IT documentation, guidelines, records, and reports. The postholder will assist in procurement activities, such as handling quotations, purchase orders, and vendor coordination. In addition, the appointee will provide basic technical support to users, escalating issues where appropriate, and liaise with internal teams and external vendors to support IT operations. The postholder will also assist in scheduling, meetings, and project coordination activities, and perform other IT administrative and support duties as assigned by the supervisors.
Requirements:
(a) A Higher Diploma or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Studies, Information Management, or related disciplines.
(b) Normally, at least one year of IT-related experience.
(c) Basic knowledge of information technology or strong interest in information technology operations and support.
(d) Solid working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
(e) Experience or knowledge in system administration (i.e., Windows Server, Linux server maintenance) is an advantage.
(f) Knowledge or exposure to IT asset inventory, documentation, and procurement processes is preferred.
(g) Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
(h) Experience in the tertiary education sector or similar institutional environments is an advantage.
(i) Well‑organised, detail‑minded, and capable of handling multiple administrative and technical tasks.
(j) Fresh graduates with substantial internship or relevant hands‑on experience will also be considered.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
Appointment will be on a two-year renewable contract, subject to performance and mutual agreement. A gratuity payment may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the full contract. Fringe benefits include leave, medical, and dental benefits. The starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
